We are looking for a Development Operations & Community Giving Specialist to join our Development team. This role combines fundraising operations, donor stewardship, annual giving support, and community engagement. What is needed for this job as our Development Operations & Community Giving Specialist:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience supporting fundraising, development, donor relations, nonprofit operations, or related functions
  • Experience maintaining donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage confidential donor and financial information
  • Experience coordinating projects, campaigns, or events across multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with donor stewardship, annual giving, or fundraising operations preferred
The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Development Operations & Community Giving Specialist:
  • Manage gift processing, acknowledgements, donor records, pledge tracking, donor statements, and fundraising data integrity
  • Maintain and utilize fundraising systems including donor databases, event platforms, and prospect research tools
  • Generate donor, campaign, recognition, and fundraising performance reports
  • Coordinate development projects, meetings, volunteer committees, and departmental workflows
  • Track development budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and fundraising expenses
  • Support annual giving initiatives including Project Heart, Y Giving Days, branch campaigns, and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts
  • Assist with donor communications, stewardship activities, appeals, donor recognition programs, and engagement campaigns
  • Track campaign participation, retention, acquisition, and fundraising outcomes
  • Support donor cultivation and solicitation efforts, including stewardship outreach and appropriate fundraising asks
  • Assist in preparing donor proposals, case statements, and campaign materials
  • Support fundraising events through donor communications, logistics, setup, execution, and follow-up
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate gift recording and reporting
  • Adhere to Association fundraising policies and AFP ethical standards
