Want to help drive innovation, empower teams, and deliver impact for Bluecurrent customers? We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to join our dynamic Software Engineering team. In this role, you will support and lead our software development team to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge software solutions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and support a talented team of software developers. Build a collaborative, inclusive culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
- Set clear goals and track progress. Manage resources, estimate project needs, and oversee contract requirements.
- Guide the development and management of key business platforms, including Data Management, Field Service Management, and CRM.
- Provide expert guidance to overcome complex technical challenges.
- Focus on internal and external customer needs to ensure outstanding business and customer outcomes.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field—or 10+ years of experience in software development preferred. Proven experience successfully leading and mentoring high-performing software engineering teams is essential.
As the Development Manager, you will be able to prioritise tasks effectively, maintain organisation, and oversee multiple high-impact projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are required to navigate challenges, implement change, and deliver results within established deadlines.
Experience with Agile and traditional IT delivery, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, version control, containerisation, cyber assurance frameworks (NIST/ISO 2700x), and full-stack development (Java/Python) is highly valued.
