Cloudshape is experiencing rapid growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are currently seeking a talented Development Manager / Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. This person will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for providing software engineering expertise, leading development teams, and delivering complex software solutions. 
To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position on a 10-year contract and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, performance reviews, and offboarding. 
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers in resolving complex technical challenges and removing project blockers.
• Balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work, stepping into complex engineering challenges when necessary to support successful project delivery.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain applications using Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring, ASP.NET MVC, Razor/Blazor, PHP, and Drupal.
• Lead software development lifecycle modernization efforts using iterative development practices.
• Establish processes that promote clarity, accountability, measurable progress, and successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to establish priorities, evaluate technical approaches, manage risks, and achieve project objectives.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
• Maintain effective knowledge management by documenting technical solutions, processes, and project decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience managing and leading software engineering teams. 
• Strong experience with one or more of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring, ASP.NET MVC, Razor/Blazor, PHP, or Drupal.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Experience implementing or modernizing iterative/Agile software development processes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, technical design, and engineering best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
• US Citizen with an active secret security clearance.
