The Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Engineer with strong expertise in Kondor and Corona platforms to support and enhance treasury, trading, and risk management applications . The role involves development, customization, integration, maintenance, and production support of Temenos Treasury solutions while working closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and infrastructure teams.
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in Kondor+, Corona, Sybase databases, Python, Groovy, and Korn Shell (ksh) scripting, with a strong understanding of banking and treasury operations. The candidate will be responsible for delivering application enhancements, resolving production issues, supporting system integrations, and ensuring high availability and performance of critical banking applications.
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Kondor+ and Corona applications supporting treasury and capital market operations.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Temenos treasury ecosystem.
Design, develop, test, and deploy application enhancements and fixes in accordance with SDLC and banking compliance standards.
Perform application configuration, parameterization, and customization of Kondor and Corona modules.
Develop and maintain Python, Groovy, and Korn Shell (ksh) scripts for automation, integration, monitoring, and operational support.
Create, optimize, and troubleshoot Sybase database objects including stored procedures, triggers, queries, and performance tuning activities.
Support interfaces and integrations between Kondor/Corona and upstream/downstream banking applications.
Investigate and resolve production incidents, application defects, and performance issues within agreed SLAs.
Participate in release planning, deployment activities, and post-implementation validation.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Collaborate with treasury business users, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver solutions.
Ensure compliance with banking security, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support procedures.
Participate in application support rotations and provide L2/L3 support for critical banking systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and modernization efforts.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in application development and support within banking or financial services environments.
Strong practical experience with Temenos Kondor+ and Corona applications.
Proven experience supporting Treasury, Derivaties, Front Office, Middle Office, or Back Office banking functions.
Strong proficiency in Sybase ASE database development, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Hands-on programming experience in Python for automation, scripting, and application development.
Experience developing and maintaining Groovy scripts and automation workflows.
Strong Korn Shell (ksh) scripting skills in Unix/Linux environments.
Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and release management processes.
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and production support activities.
Familiarity with application integration technologies, file transfers, APIs, and messaging frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities in complex banking environments.
Experience working in regulated financial institutions with awareness of audit, compliance, and security requirements.
Knowledge of treasury products including FX, Money Markets, Derivatives, Securities, and Risk Management processes is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in global and geographically distributed teams.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.
Experience supporting European banking clients and mission-critical financial applications is preferred.
ITIL foundation knowledge and production support experience will be an added advantage
