Overview of The Role
As a Development Engineer – Python, you will actively contribute to the development of scalable backend applications by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to building high-quality software solutions that support business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements thoroughly to ensure the developed software aligns with business needs.
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and relevant frameworks.
- Work in a microservices architecture environment to build scalable and maintainable applications.
- Convert technical designs into efficient, scalable and maintainable code.
- Participate in planning, design discussions, and technical reviews.
- Maintain applications and provide production support as needed.
- Contribute to discussions and meetings to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure all implemented solutions meet quality standards and pass all relevant tests.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sprint goals in an Agile development environment.
- Utilize learning platforms and available resources to continuously enhance professional and technical skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Python development with strong knowledge of Python programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, along with a good understanding of microservices-based application architecture.
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; exposure to MongoDB is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and Agile development practices; exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cross-functional domains such as Frontend and DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
