Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of professional fundraising experience with a strong record of achievement in complex, mission-driven organizations
  • Experience working in a collaborative development environment and leading initiatives from concept through execution
  • Understanding of comprehensive fundraising programs, including individual, foundation, corporate, and special-event fundraising
  • Experience working with volunteers to leverage fundraising efforts
  • Experience using a fundraising CRM system to support moves management and fundraising strategy
  • Superior written communication skills, including grant proposals, reports, briefs, fact sheets, and presentations
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating across teams in a hybrid office environment
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in youth development, human services, or K–12 education
  • Experience engaging Kansas City-area funders and community-based organizations
  • Salesforce experience
