The College Fund is looking for a talented coordinator who will support the Strategic Partnerships team and broadly the Resource Development department.  Professional communication skills, the ability and desire to take initiative, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and CRM software applications (including producing queries and reports), and an outward mindset for supporting others are essential to supporting this department.   

You will be joining a team of eleven. The work environment is both dynamic and fast-paced; and the organizational culture is one that focuses on accountability, teamwork, and a strong passion for our mission.  This position will have the opportunity to work with individuals across the organization, along with other business partners and donors of the College Fund.    

This role reports to the Director of Major Gifts & Strategic Partnerships. This is an in-office position located at our Denver, CO office. 

Your Day to Day 

  • Provide general administrative support for strategic partnership and planned giving teams, including but not limited to tracking and completing financial and legal documents pertaining to estates, processing gift acknowledgement letters, reconciling credit card statements, assistance with special mailings, and meeting and calendar management.
  • Serve as the primary administrative assistant for the Director of Major Gifts -Strategic Partnerships and the Director of Planned Giving 
  • Provide meeting preparation support and event planning for strategic partnerships and planned giving teams, including but not limited to outreach, agenda coordination, note taking, managing event RSVPs, event follow up and general logistical support.
  • Crosstrain across strategic partnerships and planned giving strategies to facilitate collaboration and completion of special projects, including but not limited to general prospect research, generating donor profiles, data entry, and scholarship reports.
  • Assist with other Research Development projects as assigned, including supporting front desk coverage.

What You Bring: 

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience working Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software applications  
  • Familiarity with philanthropic sector and understanding of fundraising concepts and trends knowledge; specific knowledge of strategic partnerships and planned giving best practices preferred
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent listening and problem resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient knowledge of CRM software/applications
  • Ability to work well within a diverse team and across departments
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills via all channels
  • Personal characteristics sought include initiative, discretion, mature judgment, positive behavior, performance, and ability to balance dynamic workload.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in learning about American Indian/Alaska Native education 

It’s a bonus if you also have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with fundraising, including building donor relationships 
  • Experience working with tribal communities and knowledge of Indigenous culture

Salary of $46,300 - $54,400
