About the Role:
We are looking for a talented VBA Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using VBA to automate tasks, improve business processes, and integrate applications. You will work closely with business users and other technical teams to create efficient and scalable solutions that enhance productivity and ensure the smooth operation of business systems.
Key Responsibilities:VBA Development and Automation
- Develop, test, and maintain VBA-based solutions for automating tasks within Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
- Create custom macros, functions, and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and business workflows.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing VBA applications to improve performance and functionality.
- Implement error handling and data validation processes within VBA scripts to ensure the integrity of business data.
Data Integration and Reporting
- Develop VBA solutions that integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and spreadsheets.
- Build automated reporting systems to extract, format, and generate reports from data stored in Excel or other systems.
- Design user-friendly interfaces for data input, output, and reporting, ensuring efficient data processing.
Collaboration and Customization
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand process requirements and translate them into automated VBA solutions.
- Customize existing VBA scripts and Excel workbooks to meet specific user requirements.
- Create and manage dynamic dashboards and reports using VBA for real-time data analysis.
Documentation and Maintenance
- Document VBA code, solutions, and workflows for future reference and compliance.
- Provide user training and support for VBA-based solutions and macros.
- Maintain and update VBA scripts as business requirements evolve, ensuring solutions remain up to date and functional.
Troubleshooting and Support
- Provide ongoing support for VBA applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs or performance problems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure VBA solutions integrate effectively with other systems and applications.
- Offer guidance to users on the proper use of VBA-based solutions and resolve any technical issues they encounter.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in VBA development and Microsoft Office integration.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and performance of VBA solutions.
- Evaluate and suggest new technologies or processes that could help optimize business functions through automation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in VBA development, preferably within Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access).
- Proven experience in automating business processes, generating reports, and integrating data using VBA.
- Experience working with Excel formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis features.
- Knowledge of other programming languages or technologies such as SQL, Python, or Power BI is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of Excel functions, macros, and automation tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting and debugging VBA code to resolve issues.
- Familiarity with external data connections and integrating VBA with databases (SQL, Access).
- Ability to create complex Excel formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis models.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN is beneficial.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address complex business challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Certifications (preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Office Specialist (MOS) in Excel or related Office applications.
- Any other relevant certification in programming or automation is a plus.
