What You’ll Take On:
The successful applicant will work on the development and support of our gift card systems, whilst helping maintain and support our other mainframe applications. The role involves all aspects of the development lifecycle and requires flexible and innovative individuals with a positive attitude.
Operating across more than 72 countries worldwide, Next and our Total Platform partners process transactions through a diverse range of payment methods, including gift cards, e-vouchers, credit & debit cards, ApplePay, Klarna, and PayPal. In the UK, we also provide various credit options, which are either developed completely in-house or powered by bespoke third-party software seamlessly integrated into our infrastructure. Ensuring our £2 billion platform remains secure, modern, and fit for purpose is the responsibility of our Payments & Credit Technology Team.
You will provide analysis and programming skills in core languages, review and support the gathering of user requirements, and produce sustainable and efficient solutions following Agile methodologies. You will design, code, maintain and support business critical systems which are used 24/7, 365 days a year. You will develop in both a batch and online environment adhering to relevant standards and working closely with our user community to provide both technical and non-technical advice.
You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office.
