Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a decentralized, permissionless naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables human-readable names (like "myname.eth") to be linked to standard Ethereum addresses and other distributed systems.
As one of the first protocols built on Ethereum, ENS has enabled over 3 million registered .eth names, and over another 20 million ENS names from teams such as Coinbase, Uniswap, and Linea, as well as integrations with hundreds of other apps, wallets, protocols, and browsers in the crypto ecosystem.
ENS Labs has been driving the core development of the ENS protocol since 2018. We created the ENS app, open-source libraries, and core smart contracts. We are on a mission to make crypto-powered experiences as easy and accessible as browsing the web. Join us as we build the next iteration of our protocol, ENSv2, and pioneer a more decentralized, flexible, and scalable ENS for the future.
About the Role
ENS is at a historic inflection point. As the most widely used decentralized identity protocol in Ethereum—and the de facto standard for Web3 usernames—we’re evolving from ENSv1 to ENSv2, unlocking powerful new capabilities for developers and users alike.
We’re seeking a visionary Developer Relations Leader to architect, lead, and scale our DevRel function from the ground up. This is a zero-to-one leadership role: you’ll define the strategy, lead a team, and shape how the world’s developers integrate, extend, and innovate with ENS.
You’ll work directly with our CTO & Co-founder and collaborate across engineering, product, and marketing. This is a career-defining opportunity to build not just a team, but the narrative and engagement model for an entire Web3 vertical.
What You’ll Do
Set the Vision: Craft and execute the global ENS Developer Relations strategy—from outreach to education to integration.
Build & Lead Your Team: Hire, mentor, and empower a world-class DevRel team.
Developer Experience Excellence: Oversee creation of educational content, technical documentation, and tools that delight developers.
Strategic Evangelism: Represent ENS at key industry events, engage online, and serve as the public-facing voice to the global developer community.
Integration Leadership: Foster partnerships with leading Web3 protocols, dApps, and L2 ecosystems.
Internal Collaboration: Serve as the connective tissue between community insights and product/engineering roadmaps.
Metrics & Impact: Define KPIs, measure success, and iterate rapidly.
Who You Are
7+ years in DevRel or technical community leadership, including team management
Proven experience growing developer adoption and building advocacy programs
Deep technical fluency in Ethereum, Web3, dApps, and smart contracts
Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike
Track record of zero-to-one leadership—you’ve built, not just inherited
Strong written, verbal, and strategic communication skills
Passion for decentralization and shaping the next phase of the internet
Extra Credit (but not required)
Experience contributing to ENS or similar open-source protocols
Participation in the Web3 dev community (hackathons, meetups, forums)
Experience managing developer events or hackathons
Why ENS?
Category leadership: ENS is not a startup looking for traction. We are the traction.
Massive impact opportunity: Millions already use ENS. ENSv2 will multiply that.
Visionary team: Direct access to ENS’s core architects and the Ethereum community
Creative freedom: Design, experiment, and execute your vision without red tape
Build your legacy: Define how decentralized identity is built, adopted, and evangelized for years to

What We Do
Ethereum Name Service -
ENS is DNS for the web3 space. ENS domains are a superset of DNS, allowing attaching human-readable names to websites. However, the use cases are virtually limitless, such as simplifying sending cryptocurrency, storing an avatar and profile information (think gravatar) that web3 apps will pick up and use automatically.
Best of all, the protocol is decentralised, censorship-resistant, and owned by anyone that holds the $ENS token. Ultimately we think of an ENS name as a web3 username, the first step into the new internet.
