Developer Relations Engineer

We’re looking for a creative and tech-savvy DevRel Engineer who is passionate about technology, coding, and developer communities. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our product and engineering teams to create engaging technical content, interactive demos, and educational resources that showcase how developers can leverage Zencoder to supercharge their workflows.

• Content Creation
  Develop tutorials, blog posts, documentation, and code samples demonstrating Zencoder’s features and best practices.
  Produce engaging video content (e.g., walk-throughs, demos) for our developer community.

• Use Case Development
  Conceive and build practical, real-world demos and prototypes.
  Identify industry-relevant use cases and craft compelling stories around how Zencoder solves specific developer pain points.
  
• Developer Advocacy
  Engage with developer communities on forums, social media, and at events to raise awareness and gather feedback on Zencoder’s platform.
  Collaborate with internal teams to address developer concerns, feature requests, and feedback in a timely manner.
  
• Tooling & Workflow
  Use developer tools like VS Code to build and test sample applications or integrations.
  Stay current on new frameworks and technologies to ensure our content and messaging remain fresh and relevant.

• Community Building
  Help organize and participate in developer meetups, webinars, and online communities.
  Encourage community contributions (e.g., guest blog posts, tutorials) and amplify user-generated content.

• Technical Skills
  Coding experience (JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++ or similar).
  Proficiency with common developer tools (VS Code, JetBrains, Git, GitHub).
  
• Communication & Creativity
  Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  Comfortable creating and editing video content for educational or promotional purposes.
  Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative ways to showcase technical solutions.
  
• Developer Community 
  Genuine interest in developer evangelism, open source projects, or community-building efforts.
  Familiarity with social media and online forums related to software development

The anticipated base salary for this position is up to $40,000 gross. The final offer may vary based on geographic location, relevant experience, education, and seniority compared to others in similar roles.
