The Role
Design and develop the PMAT platform, contribute to solution architecture, data model and integrations, support Agile delivery with Azure DevOps, and translate project management processes into platform requirements while collaborating with stakeholders.
Summary Generated by Built In

This is a role within a collaborative team of developers and architects, contributing to a platform that integrates across multiple Nokia IT systems and supports project governance at scale.

The successful candidate will bring strong solution architecture skills, hands-on experience with project management tooling, and a solid understanding of project management processes — particularly in the context of services delivery. Working closely with the rest of the PMAT (Project Management & Analytics Tool) team, they will help shape the platform’s technical direction while contributing to its day-to-day development and improvement.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Platform Development

  • Contribute to ongoing development of PMAT, collaborating with fellow architects and developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions across the data, application, and integration layers of the platform
  • Ensure the platform’s technical quality, including maintainability, performance, and security, as part of a shared team responsibility

Data Model & Systems Integration

  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of the core data model underpinning PMAT, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all connected Nokia IT systems
  • Work with the team to develop and maintain integrations between PMAT and other Nokia IT platforms, including ERP, ITSM, finance, and HR systems
  • Support the alignment of PMAT’s data model with Nokia IT’s broader enterprise data standards and governance requirements

Agile Delivery & Azure DevOps

  • Work within an agile delivery framework, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management using Azure DevOps
  • Support release planning and deployment coordination for PMAT, ensuring smooth and predictable delivery cycles

Project Management Process Knowledge

  • Understand services delivery project management processes — including project initiation, resource planning, budget tracking, risk management, and delivery governance — and translate these into platform requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMAT based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business processes

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal Nokia IT stakeholders including the Product Owner, project managers, and platform teams to understand needs and communicate technical solutions clearly

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in IT solution development, enterprise software engineering, or a senior technical role with broad system design and development responsibilities
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow PPM, Microsoft Project, Planview, or similar enterprise PM platforms)
  • Proven experience contributing to the design and maintenance of complex data models in multi-system enterprise integration environments
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration patterns and API design
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, with working knowledge of Azure DevOps for sprint and release management
  • Experience working within a large multinational IT organisation, ideally in a telecommunications or technology company context
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and their integration with project management tooling
  • Knowledge or practical experience with AI/ML concepts would be advantageous, as the team explores future enhancements to PMAT
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, TOGAF, or cloud platform certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) are a plus
