In this role, you'll work across front-end and back-end technologies to build new applications, improve existing systems, and develop integrations that make our organization more effective. You'll collaborate with IT professionals and ministry teams to turn real-world needs into secure, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality work, and is excited about using their technical skills to make a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

Application Development & Integration

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks.
  • Develop front-end and back-end functionality, including reusable components, application services, and business logic.
  • Create and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and data-access components.
  • Enhance existing applications and contribute to the modernization of legacy systems.

Cloud, Security & Software Quality

  • Support cloud-hosted applications and deployment processes, primarily within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Apply secure coding practices and established development standards to protect applications and organizational data.
  • Participate in application testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize Git, development tools, and established deployment practices to support reliable software delivery.
  • Maintain technical documentation and use approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Partner with IT colleagues and ministry departments to understand operational needs and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project progress, and application functionality to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Contribute ideas and improvements that strengthen application performance, usability, and organizational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with experience using Blazor, Razor Pages, ASP.NET MVC, or comparable frameworks.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating applications with other systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, relational databases, and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, application testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Working knowledge of secure application development and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage development assignments while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Additional Experience We'd Value

  • Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, or Azure SQL.
  • Entity Framework Core, TypeScript, React, Angular, or other modern development frameworks.
  • Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, or related authentication technologies.
  • Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing.
  • Integrations involving CRM, ERP, Microsoft 365, or SharePoint.
  • Legacy application modernization and performance optimization.
  • AI-assisted development tools and emerging software technologies.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit, educational, or ministry organizations.
