Job PurposeThe Developer - Back-End is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions aligned with business needs using Oracle Retail platforms. This role focuses on creating detailed technical designs, building complex applications, supporting performance optimization, and collaborating with business teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate solution approaches across various initiatives.
- Create detailed technical design documents for Oracle Retail-based implementations.
- Develop, test, and deploy application solutions that meet business needs.
- Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot complex application software based on best practices.
- Maintain system interface documentation and resolve database performance issues.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of strong techno-functional experience with Oracle Retail application suites (RMS).
- Working knowledge of:
- Oracle Retail Merchandise System (RMS)
- Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA)
- Retail Price Management (RPM)
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Pro*C, UNIX shell scripting, integration bus, and messaging services.
- Experience designing and developing complex RMS-based applications, including production support and maintenance.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitLab; TES or similar job schedulers is a plus.
- Agile development experience using SCRUM and test-driven methodologies.
- Preferred exposure to Kafka streaming, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Familiarity with event-driven design patterns, microservices, containers, and REST APIs is advantageous.
- Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Maven/Gradle.
