Role Overview:
- Serve as the onsite Mugwump representative at the resort, partnering closely with property staff, sales, and catering teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate and social group clients staying/meeting at the property.
- Develop customized destination/event proposals including décor, entertainment, activities, tours, and transportation solutions.
- Manage full program lifecycle: inquiry → proposal → contract → execution → post-event follow-up.
- Oversee event logistics and coordinate with Mugwump’s operations/production team to ensure seamless delivery.
- Maintain strong knowledge of local vendors, attractions, and experiences to enhance guest programs.
- Provide onsite support during events, ensuring all elements are executed to Mugwump and property standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with resort staff to promote Mugwump services to incoming groups.
- Track program budgets, invoices, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and repeat group business.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in destination management, event planning, or hospitality (DMC, resort, or luxury property preferred).
- Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field, preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of corporate meetings, incentive travel, and social events.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and ability to represent Mugwump at a luxury property level.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability during events.
- Familiarity with Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville area vendors, venues, and activities a plus.
