This position is able to be a remote work from home position. Must live in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee or Texas to be considered.

SUMMARY:
Provide planning, installation, administration, and maintenance of all aspects of the corporate PC desktop standards. Own the selection of the hardware platforms, and software distribution tools and patching schedules. Package and script automation for the desktop software catalog and software deployments. Create and maintain security controls on the desktop platforms using enterprise management tools. Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry best practices with desktop standards and software package management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Engineer, implement and maintain desktop core software standards.

  • Engineer, implement and maintain software distribution automation solutions.

  • Act as subject matter expert for core PC applications such as Windows/MacOS/Chrome/Office; understanding all aspects and settings for this software.

  • Proficiency with Active Directory technologies and group policy.

  • Proficiency with tools like SCCM/Jamf/InTune.

  • Knowledge of Powershell and Windows scripting

  • Safeguard the security and integrity of the desktop environment.

  • Understand, apply, and recommend standards and procedures and propose ways to improve the desktop environment.

  • Build and support a test environment to help certify new desktop images and software deployment packages.

  • Proficiency with desktop hardware platforms. Responsible for hardware standards.

  • Solves problems, provides assistance to other departments, answers questions about technical functionality, and provides technical support.

  • Participate in large projects requiring analysis and design skills.

  • Write technical documentation and keep existing documentation up to date.

  • Keeps current in the desktop field and stays informed and aware of latest industry practices and developments in desktop and software deployment.

  • Potential to work outside of normal hours as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum of 4 years work experience in an enterprise environment. Relevant Microsoft certifications are desired. 

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require sponsorship for employment.
