As a Designer at Unispaceyou’ll have the chance to collaborate with talented teams, bring fresh ideas, and create spaces that inspire. This role is a great fit if you’re passionate about interior design and eager to learn the nuances of corporate interior projects. You’ll support the design process from ideation to detailing, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to projects that impact clients' work environments. 

 

 

What you’re responsible for 

  • Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and develop design concepts that align with client goals and team vision. 
  • Assist senior designers in selecting finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that elevate the functionality and aesthetic of each project. 
  • Develop preliminary space plans under supervision, learning best practices for optimizing space and flow. 
  • Support the creation of detailed drawings, learning interior detailing and documentation for design packages. 
  • Participate in the production of furniture and finish packages, contributing to cost estimates and specifications. 
  • Conduct site visits and surveys with the team to document project details and ensure design accuracy. 
  • Support the team with field surveys, collecting key information for client assessments and participating in client interactions as part of your professional growth. 
  • Use design software to make corrections and enhance drawings, actively learning from senior staff feedback.

Your experience and skills  

  • 2+ years of experience in interior design or related fields, ideally with exposure to corporate interior projects (or equivalent educational experience). 
  • A strong foundation in interior design principles, including an understanding of color, materials, and form. 
  • Knowledge of space planning, furnishings, and equipment selection as it applies to a variety of workplace designs. 
  • Basic skills in sketching, rendering, and interior detailing, with a willingness to refine these skills through mentorship and hands-on projects. 
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software, and a familiarity with creating and updating construction documents. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, with an interest in expanding your technical skills. 
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to contribute ideas and ask questions.

Base Pay Range
$70,000$85,000 USD
