Interactive Strategies is a full-service digital agency in Washington, DC. We work with nonprofits, associations, and mission-driven organizations on the things that matter most to them — web, brand identity, social ads, digital campaigns, fundraising, and advocacy. Our creative work spans a wide range — and we don't expect any one person to cover all of it. We look for designers with a strong aesthetic sensibility, an understanding of brand identity, and a passion for creating work that is both beautiful and effective.  

If you've worked in one or more of these areas, we want to hear from you: 

  • UX and web design — you bring unique, yet functional solutions to a website’s most common problems  
  • Brand identity — you can develop and extend a brand’s identity across visual brand systems, logos, and style guides 
  • Digital marketing and campaign design — you develop relevant designs that are fresh, timely and stop the scroll on social media, in inboxes, and on the web 
  • Fundraising and advocacy creative — you create designs that move people to act 
  • Illustration — you bring a story to life using your original work  
  • Motion and animation — you catch attention, or tell a more complete story, using movement

Benefits

Salary Range

Freelance engagements are compensated at $70–95/hour depending on experience and project scope. Applicants must reside in the US. Freelance roles are project-based, 1099/independent contractor engagements. 

Skills Required

  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of brand identity
  • Experience in UX and web design
  • Experience developing and extending brand identity, logos, and style guides
  • Experience designing for digital marketing and campaign creative (social, email, web)
  • Experience creating fundraising and advocacy creative that drives action
  • Illustration skills (original artwork)
  • Motion and animation skills
  • Able to work as a 1099/independent contractor (project-based)
  • Applicants must reside in the US
