The Role
Design and develop footwear collections by researching trends, materials, trims and competitor products. Support the Designer and Buying Team to ensure fit and brand aesthetics. Produce sketches, detailed technical drawings and specs using Illustrator and Photoshop. Maintain sample organization, a sample tracker, and supplier relationships to adhere to development timelines. Perform general administration and present collections for meetings while ensuring attention to detail throughout the process.

Requirements
  • Have a flair for design with great creativity and imagination
  • Be able to produce high-quality work to targets and tight deadlines
  • Be able to offer original ideas to evolve brand best sellers
  • Constantly research trends, new materials, trims, and colour palettes and show understanding of how they can be applied to the collections
  • Competitor product research
  • Support your Designer in working closely with the Buying Team to ensure fit and aesthetics meet brand requirements
  • Support your Designer in developing customer and market-focused collections
  • Sketch and complete detailed technical drawings (using Illustrator and Photoshop as relevant)
  • Produce detailed specs and design modifications
  • Display excellent attention to detail
  • General administration
  • Keeping samples organised and displaying the collection for meetings.
  • Maintain a sample tracker throughout the development process
  • Work effectively with suppliers to ensure the design critical path is adhered to at all times
  • Develop excellent relationships with other relevant Head Office departments
  • Any other tasks which are deemed as reasonable responsibilities by your Line Manager
  • Open to levels of experience
