Description
Designers use their experience/knowledge along with computer aided design systems (AutoCAD) to create drawings from concepts for conveyor fabrication and installation. The drawings should contain the appropriate information concerning codes, standards, and specifications for the conveyor design. Designers work directly with the engineers and drafters in the department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Become a contributing member of a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
2. Develop accurate layout, fabrication, and installation drawings.
3. Develop an understanding of codes, standards and specifications associated with conveyor design.
4. Perform ballooning and dimensioning of drawings as assigned.
5. Review drawings and check for errors prior to the release.
6. Take direction from engineers, engineering management and company executives concerning drawings, catalogs, and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned AutoCAD drawings.
7. Any other tasks required by the business.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD required.
- High energy level, ability to meet goals, professional demeanor.
- Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with finesse and to complete them with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven teamwork, participation, and a heart to serve

Position Information
Department: Engineering
Full Time position; salary with benefits.
Work Schedule: 45 plus hours per week; which may include evenings and weekends.
Occasional travel (less than 25%) is required.
