VP, Global Design and UX
Gopuff is seeking a seasoned user experience leader to own the vision and design of all app experiences. As the VP of UX Design, you will shape the user experience of our ecommerce, delivery driver, and warehouse operation applications. You will create design and component library guidelines, work with brand marketing to ensure continuity of message with goPuff applications, and lead a team of UX designers and researchers to create world-class ecommerce experiences. Your teams will own: visual design architecture, all app and desktop visual experiences, prototyping, user and usability research, and elements of on-line brand implementation.
This challenging role impacts three unique customer segments: drivers, internal operations, and the end customer. The leader will have to balance resources to maximize results while keeping the needs of these constituents in mind. Success of this role is measured by customer happiness with the shopping and delivery experience, differentiated app UX relative to the industry, and gains in warehouse and driver operational efficiencies.
This position reports to the SVP of Product Management.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of UX design experience, with prior experience running the UX function for a large consumer-facing technology or ecommerce company.
- 7+ years experience managing other designers
- Experience running design within the Agile/Scrum processes
- Breadth of domain experience, ideally inclusive of ecommerce, physical goods fulfillment, and/or operations support
- Experience in high growth tech startups during the scaling phases
- Has executive presence and has worked closely with executive leadership in prior roles
Responsibilities
- Lead the UX design and research functions
- Establish best practices for creative ideation, design vetting, and production
- Set the visual and UX vision for goPuff, ensuring consistent experiences across all applications
- Partner with engineering, product management, and marketing leadership to deliver the highest impact items in a timely manner
- Be proactive about customer needs, don't wait for others to make a request
- Have a creative point of view, informed by customer and industry knowledge, and be able to defend your perspective in difficult situations
