Visual Designer

Molecula is looking to bring on a Visual Designer to join our product team and bring the visual user experience of our cloud offering to life. In this role you will partner with product designers, product managers, and development teams to make the product elegant and consistent. Your work will be leveraged by our users to realize the value of Molecula’s cloud offering, and by market-facing stakeholders to tell compelling stories about the value our product delivers. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with designing elegant user experiences, loves telling stories through visuals, and is passionate about inventing the future.
Responsibilities Include:
- Establish, own, and maintain our visual design language including color palette, iconography, typography, visualizations, and design patterns
- Collaborate with product designers, product manager, and engineers to bring the product to life visually
- Use industry best practices and creative authority to deliver cutting edge visual experiences
- Partner with leadership to visually communicate product vision internally and externally
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years experience designing SaaS B2B technology and/or data products
- Preferred Qualifications
- A relentless eye for detail and an obsession for delivering delightful end-user experiences
- A deep understanding of visual design fundamentals including composition, color palettes, typography, iconography, etc.
- A background creating elegant ways to visualize and interact with data, data infrastructure, cloud offerings, developer products and tools, or other data products
- Leverage modern toolsets, such as InVision, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, or others, to make your work come to life through high fidelity wireframes and prototypes
- Experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction
- Leader and self-starter with strong attention to detail and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines
- Excellent visual and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a highly collaborative environment with team members who may be co-located or remote
