Our work depends on a UX Designer III joining our team to support the CMS Quality Data Analytics and Services (QDAS) contract.

A UX Designed III:

Creates satisfying or compelling experiences for users of a product.

Conducts user investigations and usability testing.

Creates wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows, product prototypes, develops personas and usage scenarios.

Analyzes user feedback and activity, assists with content development.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions and improvements.

Conversing with data scientists, database administrators, engineers, programmers and federal employees to identify analytic tool and services improvements.

Conducting complex design and layout activities.

Preparing systems specifications.

Reviewing user feedback, evaluating business processes and applying Standards and Best Practices in order to enhance tools in the cloud environment.

Investigating and proposing new open source solutions to replace existing analytic tools.

Conducting official User Acceptance Testing (UAT) engaging by engaging the federal client and user community for new solutions and tools.

Developing technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.

Performing detailed analysis and systems designs.

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

May serve as a team or task lead

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

BA/BS and or 7+ years of working experience

Proven experience investigating, designing and implement system improvement based on human-centered design principles.

Experience with large data processing, analytic tools and measure calculation products.

Functional knowledge of Agile Principles and Methodologies.

Functional knowledge of AWS cloud environment and cloud-based analytic services/tools.

US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Experience with telecommuting, working from a home office

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Medicare. Experience with Medicare Quality Program and/or claims data highly preferred.
