Sr Product Designer

A note about location: We are a distributed team with offices in NYC, SF, Burbank, Santa Monica and Seattle. We'd like this role to be located near one of our offices for collaboration days but will consider exceptional remote candidates.
About The Role
We're seeking a Senior Product Designer who will be an exceptional addition to our team that is designing for live and on-demand content experiences for international audiences. In this role, you'll help concept and design new experiences and improve the usability and utility of existing features. We're looking for someone who will envision and design experiences that engage, inspire, and delight across mobile, web, and living room platforms.
The ideal candidate is someone that desires to build outstanding features that simplify the journey of our viewers. From planning to design, testing, and rollout, you'll use your design sensibility and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the Disney Streaming organization.
What You Bring• You have at least 5 years of experience designing at consumer-focused tech or media companies• You have a strong portfolio demonstrating both individual and collaborative project work• You have a deep knowledge of various design tools (Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Framer, etc.)• You have outstanding visual design fundamentals combined with knowledge of common interaction design patterns that guide your design work• You have practice in human-centered design methods and research frameworks• You have experience using data to inform your design concepts• You have experience creating low-fidelity wireframes and use iterative design techniques to build high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes• You have excellent communication skills that help you collaborate well with Researchers, Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders• You have the ability to work within business and/or technical constraints and still deliver beautiful, functional design concepts• You have a strong drive to overcome obstacles in your process to deliver a successful product experience• You have excellent prioritization and documentation skills What You'll Do• You'll partner with Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to identify product requirements, use cases, and viewer journeys• You'll develop and communicate complex design ideas across various uses cases by creating process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups• You'll use data collected from research, testing, and analysis to create truly human-centered designs• You'll collaborate with your Design Manager, Product Design peers, and cross-functional partners throughout the product development life-cycle to iterate on and deliver a user experience that meets the highest quality bar• You'll act as a quality control on the team and make sure documentation is communicated clearly before delivering to Engineers• You'll use a variety of metrics to analyze and continuously improve the viewer experience• You'll provide design direction and feedback for your Product Design and cross-functional
peers• You'll exercise ethical decision-making and do what's best for our viewers• You'll be the voice in the room that always puts the human first
Nice-to-Have's• Experience in entertainment at either an agency or in-house creative team• Experience designing across multiple Living Room devices (Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation, Fire TV etc.)
