Senior UX Designer
Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services division is looking for a highly motivated product designer to lead end-to-end design for a custom-built platform. Be a part of a growing UX team designing products that will enable our internal Sales organization with smart, integrated, and intuitive solutions through the application of service design and user research methods. Become an integral part of a multidisciplinary product team, consisting of a Product Owner, UX Strategist, Scrum Master, developers, and data analysts.
This role:
- Creates world-class solutions for a wide range of user, business and marketing goals by leading large-scale initiatives and supporting program-level work. Uses an advanced ability with complex problems, research, conceptualization (sketches/wireframes), visual design, information architecture, interaction, and a precise eye for detail to execute intuitive, engaging, and elegant experiences.
- Uses a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience. Analyzes data and client feedback to inform critical design decisions.
- Develops and leverages a professional network to foster collaboration within the department to support department-wide initiatives, and to improve the ability of your department in resolving issues.
- Presents and "sells" design solutions to senior management, project teams, partners, and stakeholders. Ensures the success of the strategy and the ability to champion the best possible user experience.
- Partners with IT project teams throughout development to execution. Tests or oversees testing of coded UI to ensure adherence to defined design and behaviors.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field.
- Minimum four years industry/field experience.
- Interactive web design experience.
- Advanced knowledge in user-centered design principles, visual design, user behavior, and interactions.
- A bility to lead a design project from concept to completion.
- A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability.
Specializations that make an impact:
- Experience solving complex communication problems and designing world-class experiences for large-scale programs.
- Excellent communication skills (storytelling, visualization) and the ability to get buy-in on those ideas within a large organization.
- Proven experience in using data (both quantitative and qualitative) analysis techniques to inform design.
Special Factor: This role is part of our hybrid work model with three days a week in our offices to foster collaboration and relationship building. While Mondays and Fridays are remote, fully remote work is not available for this position. Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.

Future of Work
During the pandemic, we transitioned to a work from home model for the majority of our crew and we continue to interview, hire, and on-board future crew remotely.
