Senior Product Designer

Smule today has millions of monthly active users and is still growing at a fast pace. We’re looking for a seasoned design leader to help drive our vision for connecting and growing this expanding network of people.

Role / Responsibilities

• Champion a user centric design process that a focuses on consistently delivering world class designs 
• Work closely with our product management and engineering teams to form a strategy for improving our user experience driven by both qualitative and quantitative analysis 
• Maintain a pulse on the industry by regularly conducting a competitive analysis
• Push our creative boundaries without sacrificing business objectives

Requirements

• 5+ years product design experience 
• 3+ years designing mobile experiences
• Deep understanding of the customer journey and how it impacts user experience design. Ability to articulate design decisions through storytelling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
• Expert knowledge of best practice UI and UX patterns for iOS, Android and web applications 
• Ability to quickly grasp goals and drive progress from light specifications 
• Experience in usability evaluation and discovery user research 
• Previous experience mentoring designers 
• Experience working on a distributed team in a remote environment

• Has a proven track record of execution
• Proactively dives into problems and does not settle for easy answers
• Has user research skills and experience to validate designs and mitigate risks
• Has experience navigating ambiguity and change with enthusiasm and a positive attitude 
• Is comfortable facilitating the decision making process in a highly iterative environment

Preferred

• Experience designing and integrating monetization strategies (subscription based a plus) 
• Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, UserTesting, Userlytics, UserZoom and other design and research tools
