Sensible is built to help consumers and businesses understand, plan for, and mitigate all types of climate and weather risk, from travel and events to homeownership and energy production. Our first product embeds with travel and outdoor events partners, offering their customers a guarantee against the weather. This means a customer can have confidence that they will have a great time in the sun, otherwise they'll get money back!

What you'll be working on

Collaborative Design Thinking, Testing, and Launching. 

Design at any startup is asked to do a lot and pulled into many directions. At Sensible, we understand that user experience is the result of deep understanding of user problems and behaviors, and building that understanding takes intentional time and effort. In this role you will focus on understanding consumer problems, working cross-functionally to identify solutions, and ultimately bring these experiences to life through UX and visual design, utilizing our design system. You’ll be contributing to our culture of user research and usability testing underpinning all of our design work and laying the foundation for successful design as we scale our platform.

Required Qualificaitons

• Past success working on consumer product experiences
• Figma, Sketch, Invision, or similar tool experience (we use Figma)
• The ability to flex both UX & UI skillsets, with a focus on UX
• An eagerness to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, PMs and other stakeholders
• Clear communication and the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale
• Natural empathy and humility
