We are looking for a unicorn (i.e. an extraordinary Senior Designer) with an undying curiosity, impossibly high standards, and an appreciation for data-driven design. An appetite for validating ideas through quantitative & qualitative inputs is required. You will be testing designs in small batches to validate hypotheses and determine the appropriate balance with high-speed output.

You Are:

You Will:

• Build, maintain, and improve the usability and design of our current desktop/web experience including future iterations
• Design experiences that are personal, simple, helpful, and predictable
• Assist in leading vision and strategy across the design team, ideating as well as executing with thoughtful attention to detail
• Take conceptual ideas and turn them into useful, valuable, and scalable
• Design brand, marketing and communication assets, and materials to ensure consistently delightful user experience. This could be done directly or through our network of freelancers.
• Work across the organization to push web/product pages from concept to production while elevating the ANKR brand.
• Design experiences that are consistent, helpful, incredibly simple, and trustworthy
• Focus on implementation but also remain open to experimentation
• Define, maintain, and evolve asset management tools and processes
• Help design engaging educational content for our user

Requirements

• 6+ years of notable design experience, including experience with design at scale, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and user research
• Passion for art, creativity, storytelling, and inspiring change
• Exceptional design craft and the ability to blend that with strong business acumen
• Demonstrable ability to work confidently with product, brand, and marketing, and also our highly engaged user community
• Experience creating and managing design libraries, interaction guidelines, and asset repositories
• Developed and continuously leverage testing in the design process (e.g. user/usability, a/b, and MVT, card sorting, focus groups, tree testing, etc.)
• Implemented a variety of design and project management processes and methodologies
• Legendary communication, presentation, and organization skills
• Deep understanding of design considerations for web apps
• Strong sense of design process and an ability to work nimbly
• History of leading design for complex products (financial +++)
• Genuine empathy

Bonus:

• You've conducted a variety of both qualitative and quantitative research including, contextual inquiries, guided explorations, benchmarking, feedback cycles, interviews, and validation
• Have lead digital ethnographic studies (e.g. social analytics, eye tracking, heat mapping, community forums, etc).
• Have a deep knowledge of and zeal for accessible design and inclusive experiences
• Experience crafting designs for financial platforms and/or FinTech products
