Product Design Manager at Cisco Meraki (Remote)

We’re looking for an experienced UX Product Design Leader to join our team who is a strategic leader with seasoned UX and people leadership skills that inspire designers, researchers and partners with a user centered approach.
You will:- Lead designers, build UX team culture, and plan for the growth, impact, and success of the UX team within Meraki.
- Provide strategic direction over multiple UX projects and cross-product experiences.
- Work to understand the complex needs of IT administrators, help set a vision for the product grounded in those needs, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to build it iteratively.
- Roll up your sleeves and be hands on as a way to lead by example and drive direction and alignment with cross functional teams

- Balance user needs, business goals and industry insights.
- Collaborate with partners in product management and engineering to define problems and explore the highest impact solutions. Build relationships that lead to more rewarding and impactful UX engagement.
- Articulate the thinking behind your decisions, because a key part of your job will be helping your team, your product partners and leadership make informed decisions.
- Remove roadblocks, provide guidance, set up professional and personal goal development and make sure that the team is achieving the results outlined by one another.

- Lead by example in creating a positive and supportive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and empathetic discussion.
You are an ideal candidate if you have examples of how you’ve done some of the following:
- Manage and inspire designers.
- Designed solutions for complex domains and workflows, understanding the complexities to make them simpler and more approachable.
- Shipped well-crafted and elegant designs.
- Established relationships with product teams (including engineering and product management), grew their understanding of design, and worked cross-functionally to define and prioritize problems.
- Dug deeper to understand the user needs behind feature requests.
- Balanced exploring a space and developing a vision with shipping often and iteratively.
- Established, documented, and/or evolved a design system.
- Worked with developers to understand trade-offs and to ensure that the details are done right.
- Proactively investigated problems and proposed solutions.
- Demonstrated ability as a design leader and at least 3 years leading a team.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
