We're currently in search of a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to lead a key project, spanning 5-6 weeks with the potential for extension to 8 weeks. This remote position will see you at the helm of design efforts, collaborating closely with our UX and potentially visual designers. As a pivotal member of our team, you'll bring your expertise in visual/interaction design, branding & identity, and typography to the forefront. Additionally, you'll be responsible for leading and fostering collaboration within the team, encouraging idea competition and ensuring that the best concepts are brought to fruition. Proficiency in advanced English is an absolute must, as you'll directly engage with clients, providing insightful recommendations and shaping project decisions. Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders across disciplines to define the strategic vision of UX, product, or service
  • Review the design strategy and deliverables of projects and ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Guide and lead every aspect of the UX design, defining or reviewing wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, or micro interactions
  • Adopt best practices in design thinking, lean, & user-centered design principles
  • Improve upon existing UX design tools and methodologies and create best practices
  • This is a hands on role, and you will be responsible in designing delightful user experiences for the web: wire-frames, site maps, flow diagrams, content schema, mock-ups, usability testing, and specifications documents
  • Take ownership of various Somnio client brands, establishing rapport and responsibility regarding client branding and style-guides, etc. 
  • Produce thoughtful and innovative work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Gain an in-depth understand of agency process and champion its merit

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design (agency experience preferred).
  • Have an interactive/UX-focused portfolio. 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly and flexibly. 
  • Knowledge of web technology capabilities and limitations. 
  • Meticulous attention to design details, composition, and concept development.
  • Must have experience working with clients and developers.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in art or design preferred.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Sketch. Knowledge of CSS/HTML and development, including CMS and mobile-responsive design.
  • Advanced skills in visual design, branding development, and interactive design processes.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with clients and project managers.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism and art direction in a respectful and patient manner.

Contract Terms:

  • 100% remote
  • Payment in USD
  • Availability to work in CDT time zone/Monday to Friday
