JOB DESCRIPTION

Resideo's Global Product & Experience Design team is looking for a Lead UX Designer & Strategist to bring our new services offerings to life. You will work on initiatives that range from incubating a design- centric proof-of-concept, to digging into the details of strategic services to transform them into something our customers can't live without. Most importantly, you relish interacting with customers, having your design ideas and assumptions tested, and using customer feedback and insights to build the best experiences for them, while meeting product requirements and business needs.

JOB DUTIES:

• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for our service offerings.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
• Drive strategic initiatives via proof-of-concept designs and prototypes
• Design and validate new experiences via mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and engineering leaders to gain insights and into project goals, feasibility, and timelines
• Utilize insights from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to improve business processes

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 7+ years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete software environments.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Adobe XD, Overflow, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and product managers to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of software and responsive design.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams, stakeholders and leadership.
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
• Resideo requires that all Career Level 5 and up new hires provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, unless a disability or religious accommodation is granted. This is a Career Level 5 and up position.
