What you will be doing:

• Supporting a wide range of social justice and workers’ rights initiatives with eye-catching materials.
• Conceptualizing visuals based on client campaign needs .
• Facilitating print processes for clients in collaboration with account team.
• Assisting in designing a variety of collateral, such as newsletters, brochures, posters, banners, flyers, social media graphics, print and web ads, magazines, t-shirts, and more.
• Maintaining WordPress websites and landing pages based on client briefs or agency requirements with user-friendly design and clear navigation.
• Conducting design research for brand development.
• Receiving mentorship from a senior designer.

 

Your experience:

• At least 1-2 years of professional graphic design experience; agency experience a plus, but not required.
• Experience with design software and intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
• Ability to create concepts, designs, and layouts for large scale graphics and printed materials.
• Proficiency in social media, web design, and Photoshop.
• Strong working knowledge of print production.
• Top-notch communications skills and a fantastic attitude.
• Experience with web design and creating user-friendly WordPress websites.
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Effective at solving problems, whether taking charge independently or working with a team.

All employees in this position are expected to retain a valid driver’s license and a purchased or leased automobile for personal transportation to work events with a valid inspection sticker. The current minimum starting salary offer for this position is $40,500. The current maximum starting salary offer for this position is $50,000. Starting salary offer amounts are furnished at the discretion of the agency with adherence to contractually guaranteed minimum pay rates and are also based on the relevant experience level of the applicant and on agency hiring needs. 617MediaGroup is proud to be a union shop and 617MediaGroup employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
