We are looking for :

    • someone with a high comfort level with "lean startup" or Agile development methodologies


What is the work?
Design & Development / Communications :

  • Performs some complex tasks / projects with impact on squad and cross-squad team
  • Applies squad domain's subject matter expertise on a set of features or end-to-end complex workflows within squad's domain
  • Serves as a trusted source of advice / guidance
  • Affects change
    • Writes clear, concise product copy across a variety of user experiences
    • Applies understanding of users to design end-to-end experiences and design systems that scale across multiple scenarios, products, and platforms
    • Translates complex concepts into jargon-free, effective copy
    • Champions the value of content design among other teams
    • Collaborates with other Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to meet priorities and requirements
    • Supports designs through delivery and deployment to production in an agile environment
    • Uses data and user metrics to make recommendations and content improvements
    • Partners with Marketing to execute a consistent voice across our digital experiences
    • Helps build and apply content guidelines and processes
    • Ensures all product copy meets legal and localization standards
    • Stays consistently on top of the latest technologies and industry trends


What is your background?

    • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
    • 3+ years of experience working with content on digital products
    • A portfolio of design-focused writing samples that demonstrate the impact of content design in a digital space
    • Extra points for experience / ability to write and speak Spanish


Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Digital Content Designer?

    • Deep understanding of how different connected devices impact user experience, and how user experiences lace together across different platforms
    • Deep understanding of content strategy (audits and analysis, narrative development, content management systems, messaging framework, content marketing) and how to apply a content creative direction (tone / voice definitions, mood boards, style guide, etc.)
    • Deep understanding of UX writing (content wireframes, error messaging, localization and accessibility, cross-platform standards)
    • Advanced verbal / written communication skills (speaking / writing Spanish skills a definite plus)
    • Advanced copywriting skills (tone / voice, SEO, long-form writing, customer-facing messaging, and production design support)
    • Ability to quickly and smoothly transition from concepts / ideation to detailed execution
    • Ability to embrace and thrive in fast-paced, lean startup cultures
