Position Title: Animator 2

External Description:

EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Our teams comprise artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. We combine our teams to form a global group of extraordinary individuals fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating unique content and experiences. Role Overview:

Animators portray movement and behavior by building their animations from connecting through production, at multiple points in the asset pipeline.

Responsibilities:
  • Create high-quality animation using a variety of tools and techniques including hand key, motion capture cleanup, motion blending.
  • Ensure all animations contribute to the direction of the game, both in the experience and the story being told

Qualifications:
  • Animate both human and quadruped characters
  • Show believable weight, personality, and mood, through realistic performances - this includes interactions with props and/or vehicles
  • Proficiency in animation packages including Maya and MotionBuilder
  • Familiarity of animation and motion capture production processes
  • Production experience or demonstrated ability of working in a production game engine (e.g. Unreal, Unity, Frostbite etc)
  • Learn and work with proprietary animation run-time integration tools
  • Understand feedback, interpret notes, and provide animation revisions at expected quality levels and within schedule needs
  • Work as part a team, responsible for organizing their work within the production schedule, managing files, and meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with project animation directors, management, animators, production staff and peers
  • Degree in Fine Arts or Computer Animation
