Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.
The Role:
As the (DRE), you will be responsible for providing test direction and resolving complex technical issues on a variety projects. You will be creative and take initiative as well as use a high level of independent discernment.
What You'll Do:

  • Leading the product development team inside GM and supplier side to generate and execute technical solutions and to develop and validate Vehicle Systems, Sub-systems, and components to support new and current vehicle programs.
  • Work multi-functionally to implement cost reduction, product improvements, and to support prototype and production build activities
  • Leading complex problem-solving activities through both technical and statistical methods (Six Sigma, RedX, etc.) for top warranty issues and plant defects.
  • Perform design analysis and evaluating engineering designs and Manufacturing technology then Provide technical leadership for sophisticated component or technology development.
  • Develop and apply new and existing technology to Design, Manufacturing and Engineering and coordinate engineering designs with Suppliers, Manufacturing, Production, and other functions.
  • Responsible for integrity and compliance to GM technical and quality standards throughout the vehicle's life cycle and Making Safety Risk Assessment for all SFI regional cases.
  • Leading, releasing and approving the Reverse Engineering activities for supplier know how parts.
  • Judging the supplier technical capabilities for components development and manufacturing before nomination.
  • Approving all repair methods for production vehicles during manufacturing.
  • Offer technical consultancy to other departments and suppliers, to issue alternative technical temporary approval avoiding any obstacle in the value chain of the part.
