Gameplay Design Intern
Lightspeed Studios is looking for a Gameplay Design Intern to help ideate and implement
gameplay content and experiences of a AAA FPS game. Combining both PVE and PVP, this
is a hands-on role working with Blueprints in the latest version of Unreal Engine 5.
Job Responsibilities:
 Design gameplay features and content from initial concepts through written
specs, implementation, iteration and completion
 Design and create gameplay features, systems, and mechanics for a AAA open
world game
 Hands-on implementation and tuning of features and content in Unreal Engine
 Design, develop, and playtest gameplay tools and processes alongside the
technical and animation team

Who We Look For

Job Requirements
 Experience in tuning and balancing gameplay items and encounters
 Experience in crafting melee combat mechanics and tuning combat animations to
make 3Cs “feel” good
 Experience in design, implementation, troubleshooting and tuning of Player 3Cs
and traversal mechanics
 Must be fluent with Unreal Editor and Blueprint scripting
 Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to passionately
convey difficult and abstract concepts to anyone

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $24.81 to $42.70 per hour. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
