Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a High Voltage Electrical Engineer at TI, you'll be directly responsible for overseeing the design and engineering of high voltage electrical systems for new semiconductor wafer fab and Assembly/Test facilities on our Design & Engineering team ensuring the design is safe, reliable, maintainable and cost effective. TI Facilities operates over 150 different utility systems that include chemicals, gasses, variety of electrical systems, water systems, HVAC, waste, vacuum, and controls. These systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. Facilities works closely with TI's manufacturing team to understand how the utility systems impact the process as well as how to reduce consumption.
Responsibilities include:
- High voltage and Medium voltage Protection and Control design and planning.
- High voltage and medium voltage power distribution and substation design (138kV to 15kV & 15kV to 4160V/480V)
- Low voltage distribution design (480V to 120V)
- Collaborate with project engineering firm to deliver quality design on-time within budget
- Mentor newer electrical engineers on the team
- Assist with trouble shooting and technical support for our existing facilities
- Provide innovative ideas working with external suppliers and research to continually improve our reliability and cost goals
- Greenfield and brownfield project experience with mission critical mindset.
- Smart device interconnection design and planning.
- Understanding of Industrial networking and SCADA for electrical systems.
- Relaying fiber network, design, implementation and commissioning.
- Redundant high reliability electrical design
- Mission critical and zero downtime environment.
- Station Service controls DC distribution design, construction and commissioning.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
- 5 years' experience in semiconductor or equivalent mission critical industries
