Design Engineer

We're seeking an ambitious Design Engineer with an interest in land development and civil engineering. In this role, you'll apply your technical knowledge to support a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects, enhancing both your technical skills and professional growth. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to ensure accurate reporting and progress updates. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive, knowledgeable team. Some of your key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities: 

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Stormwater Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation
• Preparation of Specifications and Cost Estimates
• Projects include Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, Highway, and Public Works projects
• Field engineering during the construction phase

• 0 - 3 years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license in the State of Oregon is highly preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required. 

• The typical base salary range for this position is $76,000.00 - $93,000.00 annualized, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location - This is an hourly position paid biweekly
