Hi, I’m Chris, co-founder and CTO at Navattic. I lead the design team here at Navattic. We’re looking to add a talented design engineer to our team, and I’m excited to share more about this opportunity.
About UsAt Navattic, we’re building a platform that helps marketing and sales teams instantly create interactive product demos. This is a new vertical (we’ve played a substantial role in creating) that is experiencing rapid growth.
Before Navattic, it was hard for marketing and sales teams to share a hands-on version of their product that prospects could explore. With Navattic, teams can instantly create high-fidelity interactive demos in a matter of minutes. (Customer Showcase)
Navattic is the category leader - since the G2 category was created, Navattic has been recognized as Leader in the Demo Automation space every quarter.
2025 has been a busy year. This year alone, we exceeded growth targets every quarter, grew to nearly 1,000 customers and partnered with top names in the software industry including Ramp, Elastic, Digital Ocean and Dropbox.
We’re a remote-first team of 35 today. You’ll be working closely with Makenna (Design Engineer), Ciaran (Full-Stack Product Designer), and I on the design team. At Navattic, we prioritize talent-density over team size and believe that a tight-knit, motivated team can make tremendous strides.
We’re looking for a design engineer who’s energized by contributing to the full product development cycle; from uncovering customer insights to delivering polished, production-ready features.
In the role, you'll be taking on projects in the following areas:
Product Discovery & Design
Partnering with a product engineer to dig into customer feedback and determine feature direction
Designing features for core and emerging product areas
Iterating and prototyping on the problem space that you determined. Often self-led, but collaborative in the iteration process.
Design & Development
Designing and/or coding critical UI patterns (ex: demo publishing flows)
Building components for Compass UI, our design system that keeps everything consistent and moving fast. We push Figma to it's limits with these components - they're high-fidelity and using code-connect, can tie directly into our code base.
Polishing features that need extra design love
End-to-End Execution
Taking projects from initial concept, through Figma designs, and into polished frontend implementation
Prototyping ideas to test with users before we build
Ensuring the details carry through from design to code
We believe in product-minded design - beautiful pixels that don't solve real customer problems aren't worth much. We're looking for strong end-to-end contributors who can move from ideation to implementation without losing fidelity.
Skills & Experience
Strong Figma skills with an eye for both user experience and visual design
Frontend development chops (HTML, CSS, Typescript) - you don't need to be a strong engineer, but you should be comfortable jumping into code
Experience with design systems and component libraries
Understanding of user research and how to translate insights into design decisions
Mid to staff level experience preferred, but we're more interested in enthusiasm and growth potential
Mindset
You think about business impact, as well as design craft
You enjoy the messy, iterative process of building products
You're comfortable with ambiguity and can drive projects forward independently
You want to ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback
Ownership - You'll have real decision-making power over your day-to-day work and the direction of features you're building.
Impact - Every person at Navattic directly influences company success. Your work will be seen by thousands of users and directly impact our growth.
Flexibility - Fully remote team with optional co-working in NYC. We work across US/Canada timezones primarily, with openness to exceptional EU candidates.

Offer
Overall we can move quickly - please let us know if you have a tight timeline and we can accommodate.
Navattic’s success depends on hiring great people and creating an environment where we’re happy, challenged, and able to do our best work.
If you’re excited about working in that environment and shaping the future of software demos, we’d love to hear from you (even if you don’t check every box but bring the right energy and curiosity).
