Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer in the tank industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing storage tanks and related equipment used in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, water treatment, and more. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and utilizing engineering software to create detailed designs.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual with a passion for design and problem-solving in the industrial engineering space. If you enjoy working on large-scale projects and ensuring the safe and efficient design of tanks, we encourage you to apply. This is a full-time in-office job, Monday to Friday, with opportunity for international travel ( 5%). You will report to Supervisor of Engineering. to ensure designs meet technical requirements, production feasibility, and budget constraints.
The Job
• Work with international Engineering teams to execute assigned projects
• Create and update standard part designs for fabrication and construction drawing sets
• Represent Engineering professionally with internal and external customers
• Manage effectively and take ownership of assigned Engineering projects, including creating schedules, budgets, drawing packages, and calculation reports
• Communicate all project updates, including scope, schedules, and costs within the Engineering team and with associated Project Managers
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Installation personnel and support Research and Development initiatives to improve product design, manufacturability, and installation.
We are looking for:
• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field
• Effectively communication in English (written and spoken) as technical subjects will be discussed with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong drafting and modelling ability with proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault software
• FEA and structural design experience preferred
