As a Design Engineer, you’ll work alongside a passionate and supportive team, contributing to projects that require both creativity and technical excellence. This Design Engineer position is ideal for someone with a background in engineering and manufacturing who is eager to apply their knowledge in a hands-on environment.
Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000+*
*Can increase based on relevant experience
Design Engineer Essential Duties
- Creates and designs Company/Customer logos, stripe drawings and molding specification drawings
- Reads publications, consults with sales and engineering to establish design concepts
- Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, materials and methods engineering, application, and client specifications
- Presents design to design committee and discusses need for modification and change
- Prepares illustrations
- Prepares or coordinates preparation of working drawings from sketches and design specifications
- Designs products for custom applications
- Be willing to perform other duties that may be outside your normal work functions as directed by management
Design Engineer Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Design Engineering – preferred
- Proficient experience with CAD software - AutoCad and ProE/Creo is preferred
- Ability to read and understand blue prints
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from technical school
- Experience in plastics manufacturing – is a plus
- Self-Motivated
- Highly organized
- Excellent communication skills
