What you’ll do

  • Design & Engineering: Create and modify detailed part drawings and 3-D models using CAD systems to meet customer specifications and manufacturing ease. Review designs and Bills of Material (BOMs) for accuracy and manufacturability.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and other departments to ensure engineering solutions meet operational and customer needs. Respond to inquiries and provide technical support across teams.

  • Product Customization: Customize standard pump designs and engineering data to fulfill specific customer requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.

  • Quality & Inspection: Examine products at various manufacturing stages, especially first articles, to maintain quality and reliability. Investigate design alternatives and perform engineering analysis as needed.

  • Data Management: Input and revise product structure design data to formulate and maintain accurate BOMs. Utilize Teamcenter PLM software and other tools to manage engineering documentation.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel expected; primary work location is the St. Louis manufacturing facility.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in pump or rotating equipment design.

  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D solid modeling tools (Unigraphics NX preferred).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in manufacturing environments and BOM management.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hands-on manufacturing setting, with a strong focus on safety and PPE compliance.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with API pump standards and MSS valve standards.

  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter PLM software.

  • Prior exposure to industrial pump manufacturing or related mechanical equipment industries.
