Role description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development and delivery of engineering solutions across a variety of projects. In this role, you will perform technical engineering activities within your discipline, contributing to the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions while ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget requirements are met. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together. 

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, support project delivery, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. This position offers the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions

Role accountabilities:

  • Deliver assigned project elements in accordance with established engineering, quality, safety, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations, analyses, designs, models, reports, and technical documentation with limited supervision.
  • Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions for projects of varying complexity.
  • Conduct investigations and technical assessments to support design decisions and problem-solving activities.
  • Contribute to the design and development of engineering solutions while building an understanding of multiple project components
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Work closely with project teams across Arcadis GECs and regional offices to support project delivery and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and project team members.
  • Communicate project progress, technical updates, and delivery requirements to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional Engineering license or registration, where required by local regulations
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of engineering and design projects within a consulting, infrastructure, or engineering environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge within a specialist engineering discipline.
  • Ability to independently perform engineering tasks and solve technical problems using an evidence-based approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience applying quality, risk, and safety principles in engineering projects.
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and relevant desktop applications used for technical analysis, design, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of sustainable engineering principles and best practices.
