Leads product development, strategy, and redesign from concept through development to market launch. Oversees and directs the strategic development, deployment and ongoing performance of the deposit and treasury product lines; Ensures that products are integrated and effective in meeting

customer needs and company objectives; Develops, manages implementation and ongoing performance of strategic plan for product development including profitability, risk mitigation and pricing disciplines and retention/growth objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • As a product manager at your core assignments will revolve around collaboration to establish the product roadmap, discovery, delivery and launch of new products and features.
  • Develop a deep understanding of end user’s needs, Cogent’s strategic position, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Develop new offerings (e.g., checking accounts, savings accounts, cash management tools)
  • Gather user feedback and evaluate enhancement requests to continuously improve treasury and depository products.
  • Provide post-development support by monitoring product performance and user adoption trends, converting issues and pain points into actionable enhancement opportunities.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with partners including IT, Treasury Operations, Bank Sales team, and Deposit Operations.
  • Will develop training materials in collaboration with bank trainer and deliver training classes as needed.
  • Manage products, monitor product life cycle, and recommend pricing and marketing strategies to improve profitability and/or reduce expense, and to enhance customer retention and acquisition.
  • Track, evaluate/review customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions relative to assigned products.
  • Manage Integration Partner technical projects and products
  • All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Five (5) years in the financial services industry.
  • Three (3) years of product management/development experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experienced in working with Data Application Program Interfaces (API's), and other financial databases.
  • Deep understanding of BSA and KYC requirements and able to apply this compliance knowledge to all aspects of product development and product management responsibilities.
  • Exceptional knowledge of treasury management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital banking and the current varied payments landscape.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, especially as it pertains to leading a cross-functional project team.
  • Displays a powerful sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to complete tasks correctly, with emphasis on working with and through key stakeholders in the process.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Good people skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
