Description
Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join our SecureView team. This role involves daily installation, configuration, and management of ESXi/VMware servers, RHEL and Windows servers, as well as Linux and Windows workstations. The position also provides support for SecureView at both local and remote customer sites.
*This is an onsite position in Rome, NY and requires a TS/SCI*What You'll Do:
- Linux and Windows workstation installation, management and troubleshooting.
- ESXi server install, configure and troubleshoot. Create and support Windows and RHEL VMs.
- Acts as the SME for assessments and provides Tier 3-4 support for the SecureView implementation
- Develop and execute test plans for hardware/software upgrades.
- Develop technical documentation and diagrams.
- Supports customer calls
Education/Experience/Skillset Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study and 5 years of experience in performing IT deployments or service delivery in an end user/customer environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of hands-on experience with Linux/RHEL.
- 4 years of experience administering Windows Server environments.
- 4 years of experience in help desk or other customer support roles.
- Solid understanding of hypervisors such as Xen, VMware, and Citrix.
- Demonstrated experience in technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (i.e., CompTIA Security+ CE) preferred.
- Familiarity with system installation considerations within the USAF cyber community or DoD environments, supporting both local and remote users and site managers, is preferred.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
