Made In is the leader in the digitally-native kitchen space. We bring Chef expertise and centuries-old cookware manufacturing techniques to craft professional-quality kitchen tools for the home and professional cook. We are backed by some of the best chefs in the world and have been featured in publications and shows such as the Today Show, NY Times, Fast Company, Business Insider, and more.

About the Role

As the Demand Planning Manager, you will take ownership of the full forecasting process and establish the single source of truth that guides cross-functional decision-making. You will translate commercial goals, market intelligence, and operational realities into a unified demand plan that drives alignment across Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain. Your work ensures the right product is in the right place at the right time-balancing growth ambitions with real-world constraints.

This is a role for someone who wants to build, not just maintain. You’ll work directly with leadership, bring cross-functional teams into alignment, and create the planning frameworks that will power our next stage of growth. We’re looking for someone hungry to lead and innovate—someone who thrives on designing and executing new processes rather than maintaining legacy ones. You’ll help shape how the organization operates by building the systems, standards, and best practices that will guide our future.

Key Responsibilities

Forecast Management & Modeling

  • Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models using historical trends, seasonality, and demand drivers.
  • Lead the monthly consensus forecast process, aligning Sales targets, Finance budgets, and operational constraints.
  • Manage product lifecycle forecasting, including new product introductions, promotions, and end-of-life transitions.

S&OP & Leadership Alignment

  • Facilitate monthly Demand Review and S&OP meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Drive the conversation with leadership, presenting the demand plan, framing trade-offs, and securing decisions rather than waiting for direction.
  • Align cross-functional channel partners (DTC, retail, wholesale) toward a single, unified demand plan across the organization.
  • Identify demand-supply gaps early and recommend mitigation strategies when resources are constrained.

Process Implementation & Execution

  • Build and institutionalize demand planning best practices—then own their execution end to end.
  • Track and improve key planning metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, and Fill Rate.
  • Build on existing planning frameworks by implementing and optimizing scalable, repeatable processes that grow with the business.
  • Establish baseline safety stock policies and standardize planning methodologies across the business.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • 5–7+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
  • FMCG or high-velocity consumer products experience is strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, or a related field.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with forecasting tools and ERP/MRP systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication, with confidence presenting to and challenging senior leadership.
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights that drive leadership decisions.
  • Skilled at navigating conflict and driving alignment across channel partners.

Builder’s Mindset

  • Hungry to lead and develop the business - not just manage a function.
  • Excited to build processes and best practices from scratch, then execute them with discipline.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change; resourceful, proactive, and solutions oriented.

Why This Role Matters

Made In is scaling quickly, and demand planning sits at the center of that growth—this is your opportunity to help shape the next stage of our journey. This role ensures we grow responsibly, protect margin, avoid stockouts, and maximize every dollar of inventory investment as we expand into international markets. You will shape the planning foundation that supports our next stage of growth, both domestically and abroad.

Benefits We Offer:

  • Competitive salary, stock options, healthcare benefits and free and discounted cookware!
  • A people-centric, flexible workplace with Flexible Time Off.
