Drive Strategic Demand Planning for a High-Growth Consumer Brand
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000
Marketing Message:
Are you a detail-oriented demand planner who wants your forecasts to truly shape business decisions? We’re looking for a Demand Planning Analyst who thrives on turning data into insights and partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to build forecasts that keep our business moving forward.
In this critical role, you’ll develop and manage customer forecast plans that support our business goals and help us deliver the right products to the right places at the right time. Unlike purely operational forecasting, this position gives you daily exposure to Sales and Marketing, helping you integrate promotional plans, market trends, and external intelligence into smarter, more strategic demand plans.
If you love working with data, collaborating cross-functionally, and having a real impact on company performance, this could be the perfect next step for you.
What You’ll Own & Impact:
• Develop and refine demand forecasts that consider store facings, store count, product sales rates, and market dynamics
• Validate forecasts using metrics like sell-through rates, distribution coverage, and market penetration
• Gather inputs from Sales teams on promotions, customer forecasts, and new product introductions
• Integrate market intelligence — competitor activities, economic trends, and category data — to improve forecast accuracy
• Analyze historical sales and customer behavior to identify trends and make recommendations
• Track and improve key forecast KPIs such as accuracy, bias, and fill rate
• Lead and participate in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to ensure alignment across teams
• Work closely with Supply Planning to help shape inventory strategies, manage aging inventory, and support at-risk stock decisions
What Sets You Apart:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools like Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to translate data into clear, actionable plans
• Preferred: experience with statistical forecasting tools, inventory management, and S&OP processes
