SASMAR is seeking a dedicated Demand Planner to join our vibrant team in Ta' Xbiex, Malta. As a leader in the pharmaceutical industry specializing in personal care and fertility products, including our well-regarded Conceive Plus brand, we distribute our products across more than 70 countries through a network of pharmacies, hospitals, supermarkets, and clinics.

In the role of Demand Planner, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of demand forecasting, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing our supply chain processes to meet customer needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align demand planning with promotional and marketing strategies.
  • Analyze and monitor demand patterns to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Work closely with supply chain and inventory management teams to ensure product availability and optimal stock levels.
  • Support the creation of inventory management strategies that align supply with demand effectively.
  • Evaluate and adjust forecasts regularly to reflect changes in demand, lead times, and business dynamics.
  • Prepare and present demand forecasts and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Utilize forecasting software and tools to enhance precision in demand planning.
  • Participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings to facilitate collaboration between different departments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
  • Familiarity with demand planning software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to think critically and adapt to changing demands.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
