In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Achieving forecast accuracy across all product lines by working closely with internal stakeholders on future demand
- Actively managing and monitoring inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs, ensuring purchase orders are accurate and on time
- Being proactive and proposing improvements to current processes, thinking critically, challenging yourself and others
- Ensuring timely import of products and stock management, to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Understanding and minimising logistics and warehousing costs by effectively analysing inventory levels and purchase orders’ shipments sizes and frequency
- Regular demand analysis and audit to avoid potential stock outs and aged stock, taking corrective action where necessary
- Analysing performance of various product ranges and recommending actions to key stakeholders
- Ensure we have a minimal number of sold-out products, monitoring them and timely updating of prices, presale dates and stock levels
- Partnering with Category Managers to ensure stock levels are sufficient, considering potential demand changes based on sales and / or promotional campaigns
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Mathematics or similar)
- Experienced within or have exposure to Demand Planning or Inventory / Stock Control, preferably within a Retail, eCommerce or FMCG environment
- Experience with SAP and Demand Planning software will be well regarded
- Highly analytical, logical and ready to delve into data - being able to evaluate offers and products quickly to determine if they’re of value to our customers is key
- Able to develop strong and effective relationships, through excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A multi-tasking ninja - we expect you to juggle 50 different tasks at once without dropping the ball (we’re not kidding)
- A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we’re talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities)
- Tech savvy and ability to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
