Demand Planner

The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting customer demand to ensure that the company maintains optimal inventory levels, meets customer service goals, and supports overall business objectives. This role involves analysing historical sales data, market trends, collaborating with sales, marketing and supply chain teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
A background in manufacturing industry will be essential with an understanding of key planning principles of Make to Stock and Make to Stock are needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain demand forecasts using statistical tools and market analysis.
Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to predict future demand.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to gather relevant information and align forecasts with business plans.
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting processes.
Manage inventory levels by providing demand insights to procurement and production teams to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Prepare and present demand planning reports and insights to management and stakeholders.
Support new product launches by forecasting demand and coordinating cross-functional planning activities.
Utilize demand planning software and ERP systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts.
Identify risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations and recommend mitigation strategies.
Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand plans with supply capabilities.
Experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in demand planning, supply chain, forecasting or a similar analytical role.
- Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management that supports strong analytical and planning capability.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data confidently.
- Solid understanding of forecasting principles and KPI measurement.
- Experience with Oracle (highly desirable) as well as knowledge of data visualization tools such as PowerBi.
- Clear, confident communication skills in English.
Qualifications:
Certification in Supply Chain Management or Demand Planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
